Q. How DO I JOin the scsp?
A. Joining is super easy! Audition for a part of volunteer to work backstage on one of our productions. The Vice President and Membership Chair will meet with you collect your dues and issue a membership card. It is that easy. See the Membership page on this website for more details. Thanks!
Q. How long has the scsp been around?
A. The SCSP was first formed in 1959.
Q. i’ve always wanted to direct… how can i do this with the SCSP?
A. Fantastic! We are always on the lookout for new directing talent,. Our minimum requirement is that you serve as an assistant director on at least one of our productions. The Board of Directors approves the directors before they are allowed to take charge of a production.
Q. Can i take photos during a show?
A. We would prefer that you not make photos or videos during a performance it is distracting to the actors abd to the other audience members. Please resist the urge to pull your phone and film.
Q. Are parts in your show pre-cast?
A. The SCSP has a long standing tradition of have no pre-cast parts in our shows. Here’s the best way to get a part: (1) Come down to the audition (2) Be awesome in your reading (3) Impress the director (4) Get a part!
